Embrace and Cherish Imperfections
Mother’s Day is coming up. A traditional celebration for mothers. mums, mummy’s, motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers on modern day society. Mums work hard. Your mum is the reason you’re here - talking, laughing, crying, feeling, loving, excelling and learning. Most mums spend an average of 550 hours each year caring just for children, so doing something special can help show you appreciate all the time and care she's given you throughout your life.
For many, Mother's Day is a happy day, filled with celebrations of all kinds. Finding and giving a gift your mum will really love and cherish. It’s a big day for flower sales, gifting the latest tech gadget, breakfast in bed, a sweet handwritten card, or just spending quality time together. But everyone's experience on Mother’s Day is different, it can be complicated with conflicting emotions. You may have lost your mum, don’t have a relationship with your mum, have struggles with fertility or otherwise just have a hard time on Mother’s Day and we send out love and support to all of you.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we thank the mums in our lives by sharing our favourite ways to spend time, pamper and strengthen the bond with our “leading ladies.”
Quality Time: An afternoon at the movies, afternoon tea, dinner at a restaurant, getting the whole family together for a stroll in beautiful surroundings, cooking some tasty treats together. Quality time can occur when you least expect it, like singing in the car on the way to ballet practice – turn minutes into memorable moments. It doesn't have to be perfect. The goal is to spend time, precious time keeping you connected.
Pamper: Treat your mum to a treatment, spa day, pamper party with some of her friends or recreate the experience at home. Whether it's a massage, a facial, or a manicure/pedicure, your mum will love getting pampered and spending time recharging her batteries.
Whoever you’re celebrating with this Mother’s Day, show them how special they are to you. ‘Live everyday as though I’ve deliberately come back to this one, to enjoy it, as if it was the final full day of my extraordinary, ordinary life’
Happy Mother’s Day
